Where is the investment funding for women?? – Women to Watch: Tech Watch

Of the 12.3 million women US entrepreneurs who founded companies, their access to capital is minimal. In fact, according to Forbes, only 2.2% of investor funding went to women-led startups. Did you know that a lack of women in technology can lead to a decrease in performance and profits, creating a missed opportunity for business?

Studies show that when women are added to a group, their presence leads to a higher collective intelligence. This strengthens the group’s ability to solve problems, build solutions and come up with ideas. Higher gender diversity teams not only enjoy better returns, but companies that adopt gender diversity could more likely outperform companies that don’t.
