We Care: Our proceeds to the Saint Francis of Assisi Kitchen

As we continue our company-wide We Care community outreach program for the month of September, we have completed our second round of drop-offs for the incredible volunteer team and valued guests at the Saint Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen and Clothing Store in Scranton, Pennsylvania!

Saint Francis of Assisi is a non-profit organization whose members and volunteers take the time to make sure those in need are served a free, hot, nutritious meal 365 days a year – regardless of that person’s faith. Located in downtown Scranton, the Kitchen serves over 225 hot meals each day!

For our second round of contributions, we were able to provide a great variety of non-perishable food items as well as deodorant, razors and men’s underwear. One item that was in high demand was pasta and sauce and we delivered over 40 pounds of pasta!

The entirety of the Kitchen at Saint Francis of Assisi is run by volunteers and donations from the community, so they could use any contribution possible. Currently, they are in most need of nonperishable food items and gently used clothing to provide for visitors at their Free Clothing Store.

As always – any contribution big or small is greatly appreciated! For more information on the Saint Francis of Assisi, visit their website here.
