What is Collective Intelligence? — Women to Watch: Tech Watch

Did you know that a lack of women in the technology industry can lead to a decrease in performance and profits, creating missed opportunities for businesses? Gender diversity can greatly increase a business’ bottom line, so insuring there’s a good balance of women working and leading in the workplace just makes for good business!

Teams with an equal gender mix yield better performance due to a concept called collective intelligence. Collective intelligence is the capacity of human collectives to engage in intellectual cooperation in order to create, innovate and invent. Therefore, when you add women to a group, this adds to the overall collective intelligence which can strengthen the group’s ability to solve problems, build solutions and come up with ideas.

Learn more about the benefits behind collective intelligence and its effect on businesses for this week’s Tech Watch on Women to Watch with Susan Rocco.
