Women’s History Month part three — Women to Watch: Tech Watch

In honor of Women’s History Month, Mary has dedicated all her March Tech Watch segments to women in technology. Last week, Mary shared a top-down approach for increasing the total number of women entering the technology field and what steps could be taken to close the gender gap. This week, she will discuss that same approach from the bottom-up.

A friend of Mary’s who is a Psychologist said that because boys and girls are wired differently, boys will naturally excel in technology education. As a successful leader in technology, Mary refused to agree!

After performing some research, Mary discovered the concept of 21st century learning – the focus on skills necessary to succeed in future jobs starting as young as preschool to 12th grade. This approach will teach students to think critically and creatively, collaborate with others, solve problems, lead, and make decisions.

Mary shares her additional thoughts and research below on this week’s Tech Watch on Women to Watch with Susan Rocco. Tune in below!
